As American Legion Auxiliary Members we are engaged citizens who give back to our communities. We are a stronger organization when we all do our part to volunteer in our neighborhoods.
September 11th is a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
September 15th is POW/MIA Regconition Day
Here are some great ideas to support the community in September.
Disaster Preparedness helps your community prepare for disasters. Becoming more prepared in case of an emergency is easier than we might think. Whether it’s our home, our neighborhood, our place of business, or our school, we can take a few simple steps to prepare your community.
Community Renewal Projects help meet some of the most basic needs of Americans who are struggling. We can help by collecting school supplies, organize a clothing drive or collect food donations for the local food banks.
Memorial and Prayer Services to remember and pray for those who were affected by the 9/11 terrorism attack and those affected by POW/MIA .
The possibilities are endless on what we can do to give back. If you have any ideas that we can share with other units please send me an email. I will be glad to put it in on the website and in the newsletter
